WILD GEOMETRY

Good morning everyone, 

Hope you are well :)

Some of you already saw a bit of this on my Instagram recently but today you can see this new print series I've done recently. 

It's called "Wild Geometry" and I started working on it after reading many books about Sacred Geometry, Archimedean Solids, Symbolism and more. Does it look inspired on any of that? Maybe not but I assure you it is ;)

All prints are now available in the shop in two different sizes. Hope you like them!

Wild Geometry #1

Buenos días a todos,

Espero que estéis muy bien :)

Algunos seguro que ya visteis un pequeño adelanto en mi Instagram hace poquito pero hoy en exclusiva podéis ver al completo la nueva obra seriada que he hecho recientemente. 

El proyecto se llama "Wild Geometry" -Geometría Salvaje- empecé a trabajar en él después de leer varios libros sobre Geometría Sagrada, sólidos arquimedianos, simbolismo y más temas de esos que tanto me gustan... Parecen las obras inspiradas en algo de ello? Quizás no demasiado a primera vista pero sí en lo profundo de su corazoncito ;)

Toda la serie está disponible en la tienda online en dos tamaños diferentes. ¡Espero que os gusten!

"The Beautifullest Place on Earth" a.k.a William Morris' "Red House"

So happy Spring is here. 

The light has changed dramatically over the last few weeks, the house is filled with more and more sun and the reflections of the light in the garden even made me remember these pictures I took last Autumn at William Morris' "Red House" in Bexleyheath.   

Such a beautiful place, visit it if you have the chance. I specially enjoyed the garden very much... peeking inside the greenhouse, the potting shed, admiring the Acanthus plants...can't wait to come back soon :)

Que alegría que la primavera ya está aquí. 

La luz ha cambiado muchísimo a lo largo de las últimas semanas, la casa está cada día más llena de rayos de sol. También la luz en el jardín es mucho más primaveral y mágica ya, hasta me ha hecho recordar la visita que Sebastián y yo hicimos el otoño pasado en la "casa roja" de William Morris que hay en Bexleyheath.   

Es un lugar precioso, os recomiendo que la visiteis si tenéis la oportunidad. Me gustó especialmente pasear por el jardín... cotillear un poco dentro del invernadero, de los covertizos, maravillarme con la cantidad de plantas de acanto tan preciosas que tienen... ¡que ganas de volver pronto! ;)

THE JOURNEY IS THE TREASURE

The lovely ladies at The W Project invited me to be part of their book "The Journey is the Treasure". It was presented last month on International Women's Day. It's an honour to be part of projects as inspiring as this one and to have my work in such good company -many talented women featured in the book!-. :)

You can buy the book here (all profits from the sale will be donated to Refuge, a charity that provides amazing support to women and children escaping domestic violence in the UK). 

Las chicas de The W Project me invitaron hace poco a que formara parte de su último libro "The Journey is the Treasure". Se presentó el mes pasado para conmemorar el día internacional de la mujer. La verdad que es un honor formar parte de proyectos tan inspiradores como este y que mi trabajo esté en tan buena compañía -me encanta el trabajo de muchas de las creativas que salen en el libro!-. :)

Lo podéis comprar aquí (todos los beneficios de las ventas están siendo donados a Refuge, una ONG que apoya a mujeres y niños escapando de la violencia doméstica en el Reino Unido.

INVENTING ABSTRACTION

Last week I came back from NYC. One of the things I wanted to do more in my trip was visiting this exhibition at Moma called "Inventing Abstraction". So my cup of tea!!

In the end my trip was busier and more improvised than I expected and couldn't make it. Feeling thankful however for the wonderful microsite that shows all the works and artist's bios. It's almost like visiting the show!

The museum I did manage to visit was Philadelphia's Museum of Art. They have such an amazing permanent collection! I dreamed about visiting it to see "Etánt Donnés" live since I started my Art studies when I was 16!. 

I took some pics at the Outsider Art exhibition they have at the moment, you can see them on my Instagram feed ;)

La semana pasada volví de Nueva York. Una de las cosas que más quería hacer en mi visita era visitar una expo que hay en el Moma que se llama "Inventing Abstraction". ¡Reune a tantos de mis artistas favoritos!

Al final no conseguí visitarla ya que tuve días bastante ocupados y con poco tiempo para planear casi nada. La suerte es que los del MOMA han creado un microsite maravilloso que te muestra la expo tan bien tan bien que casi que te crees que la has visitado en persona. En este post van algunas imágenes extraidas de dicho site :)

El museo que sorpresivamente sí que conseguí visitar fue el Philadelphia's Museum of Art. Tienen una colección permanente increible. Cuando tenía 16 añitos soñaba con visitarlo para ver "Etánt Donnés" en directo!
